Access NowInfinity APIs

This page covers how to obtain OAuth credentials for the NowInfinity Partner API.

If you have not yet established which model applies to you, start with Integration models. The onboarding journey common to all products is covered in Request access — this page covers the NowInfinity-specific detail.

Before you request access

Have these ready:

  • The redirect URI or URIs for your application. These must be absolute URLs using https.
  • Your application logo. This is displayed to users on the consent screen.
  • The scopes your integration needs. See Authorisation Scopes.

Redirect URIs are matched exactly, including protocol, case and any trailing characters. Register every URI your application will use, including any you need for local development.

What you receive

When your access is approved we register a client for you and issue:

  • A client ID — the public identifier for your application.
  • A client secret — the confidential half of the pair.

Your client is configured with the scopes agreed during onboarding, the redirect URIs you supplied, and the grant flow appropriate to your integration model.

Treat your client secret as a password. Store it in your backend, never in client-side code, a mobile application bundle, or a source repository. If a secret is exposed, contact us immediately so it can be rotated.

Partners

Partner integrations are configured to use the Authorisation Code Flow, with the consent screen enabled. Each customer authorises your application explicitly, and can see which permissions you have requested.

Partners are also granted access to the customer's child accounts, so a single authorisation covers the whole account hierarchy. See Accessing child accounts.

Client access

Clients accessing their own data may use either the Authorisation Code Flow or the Resource Owner Password Flow. NowInfinity recommends the Authorisation Code Flow — it is more secure, and it gives a clearer audit trail of which user performed which action.
